These MCs has left SAD and decided to defect to Congress under the leadership of Nathu Ram Megh, ex MLA and congress nominee from Malout.
Speaking on the occasion Raninder Singh said on behalf of the party he welcomed them into the party fold and promised to give full support to these leaders and would give full respect in the party. He said that party would get boost with their induction.
Nathu Ram Megh who was also present on this occasion said that these leaders have decided to join the Congress as they have been appreciating policies of PCC chief Capt. Amarinder Singh towards the betterment of Punjab state.
Nathu Ram Megh was MLA From Malout(Punjab) As CPI Candidate.He later joined Congress party during Captain Amrinder Singh Regime 2002-2007.His father Dhanna Ram Megh also remained MLA in 1969,1972,1977 from Malout assembly constituency.
Those who have joined Congress were Bakhshish Singh, Prfesidnet Truck union, Malout (MC). Amranath Kamra ex president (MC) Subhjit Bittu (MC), Rajpal(MC), Shimpa Garg- presidnnet of Aggarwal sabha Malout, Ramesh Aqggrwal wine contractor , Satpal, Kaka Manpreet SAD Youth leader, Sham Lal etc.
